Study for your MBA in Germany … Enjoy Lots of School Choices

To begin, the vast majority of American students with undergraduate degrees prefer to stay somewhat close to home and pursue their graduate degree – a MBA Diploma – in the United States. But, many students, for a variety of reasons, choose to continue their studies abroad.

In the majority of cases, American graduate students opt for a MBA Program in Mexico (yes, it’s true) … in South America … in some of the larger and more prominent countries in Asia (including, of course, Japan) … in Australia … and, of course, in Europe.

Now, many who choose to seek a MBA in Europe generally choose an English-speaking country, such as England or Ireland. But others are more adventurous.

For those who wish to combine an academic experience with a social experience, countries such as France and Germany provide an almost irresistible lure. It’s almost like the “call of the Siren’s song” … the student with the undergraduate degree wants to “see the world” or, at least, a part of it.

Now, many young Americans with undergraduate degrees tend to choose France because it gives them the chance to live in Paris. But others, aware of the economic miracle that is Germany, decide to continue their advanced degree studies in that country in the hope that the economic model that is so successful is being taught in the universities.

Importantly, for American students who want to “live and learn” in Germany, it’s relatively easy to earn a MBA in Germany because there are many colleges and universities … lots of degree programs, as well.

As is true in the United States and elsewhere, students can earn a MBA in Germany in a variety of subjects or courses of study that include accounting … marketing … international management … … science and engineering … ecommerce … and many other subjects, as well.

And as for the schools … there, too, many choices exist, most of which should be acceptable to American students because classroom instruction is conducted in English.

The very best colleges and universities include all of the following: Frankfurt School of Business Management … Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management (the curriculum includes trips to China, India and even the U.S.) … Hochshule Bremen International Graduate Center (IGC) … GBS Business School … Goethe Business School … and more.

It needs to be said that these colleges and universities, and many others, as well, are spread throughout Germany so that an American student interested in studying here is certain to get a “real life” geography lesson … and is equally certain to meet many different people from varied backgrounds.

Consider that part of your experience the practical part of your education abroad. Of course, it’s the part of the educational process you’re likely to enjoy the most.

One more thing: tuition rates in Germany, as elsewhere, continue to rise. While schooling in Germany may be less costly than it is in the United States it is not inexpensive.

Keep that in mind when, and if, you opt to study for a MBA in Germany.
